Ruijie JaCS supports creating upgrade policies for MA series access points, AP180 series access point and RG-HA3515-DG. This function allows you to upgrade the devices of these models in a project at specific time.

Note: (1) Subaccounts do not support creating upgrade policies. (2) Upgrade policies cannot be applied to devices in a shared project.

To create an upgrade policy: 

Step 1:  On the Dashboard interface, click Upgrade Policy to go to the configuration interface.

Step 2: Click Add to enter the policy adding interface.

Step 3: Set the policy name, the project to which the policy applies, the model,  the scheduled time and the firmware version.

Field Description:

(1) Policy Name: (Required) Set the upgrade policy name. The length of a policy name should range from 1 to 64 characters. Numbers, letters, spaces, and special symbols ( -, _, , #, /, ., [], (), =, :, + or @ ) are supported.

(2) Project: (Required) Click the  icon to select the project where the device resides. Click  to select a project set in an existing policy.

(3) Model: (Required) Select the device model to which the upgrade policy is applied. Only supports MA series access points, AP180 series access points and RG-HA3515-DG. After selecting a model, the upgrade policy will be applied to all devices of this model in the project.

(4) Scheduled Time: (Required) Set the time for scheduled upgrade.

(5) Version List: (Required) Select the firmware version. The version displayed in the Target Version column is the recommended version. If you do not want the recommended version, you can click the  icon to modify it.

Step 4: After configuring the policy, click OK.

Step 5: When the operation confirmation prompt appears, click OK.

Step 6: When the "Success" prompt appears, click X to close the prompt box and complete the operation.

Once an upgrade policy is created, it appears in the upgrade policy list and is disabled by default. When enabled, JaCS will upgrade the devices in the specified project at the scheduled time, following the policy's configured settings.
